Creative Youth Initiatives

CYI Painting
The Creative Youth Initiatives centre,  in Surry Hills is a program managed by a group of passionate and lively people. Creative Youth Initiatives runs a variety of creative programs where young people have opportunities to develop in visual arts, music, drama, multimedia, performance, creative writing and computer skills.
The programs are very special because the people who participate in it are inspiring. Their circumstances are what set them apart from being ordinary.

Everyone will experience hard times in his or her life. Whether the problems stem from the "outside world" ie, family, job, friends etc or the "inside world"  ie mental issues, drug addiction etc, it is how we choose to deal with our problem that is important.

These young Australians are actively redefining themselves through their own creativity, creating and singing about their lives, looking back to where they have come from and then forward to where they want to go.
