Test training at Leichhardt Oval
A recent August morning at Wallaby training a proud Manly Dad finally got to experience the auction item he purchased in March at the Sir David Martin Foundation Ball.
The prize was a slab of beer and a packet of Twisties, 2 tickets to the Bledisloe cup in Sydney on Saturday night and attend Test Training. This was for two days....
This also included a unique opportunity to meet with Robbie Deans and Jim Williams, and give then a little bit of your advice for Saturday big game!!
The beer was warm and held tightly under Dads arm, the Twisties were great, but the opportunity for young Harry Langrell to meet Robbie Deans & Jim Williams and chat to the players was a once in a life time opportunity. The young Manly lad goes to St Augustine’s and plays in their 2nd XV.
Not sure what advice he gave Robbie, we will have to wait until the big game and find out if it was useful.
Jim Williams is an Ambassador for Sir David Martin Foundation and he made sure that Harry and his Dad Peter sat in the ARU seats and had more than enough time to privately ask questions and offer some teenager advice.
