A New Year, A Fresh Start

From everyone at the Sir David Martin Foundation and the young people we help, I wish you a happy New Year!

With every New Year come new resolutions – at the Foundation we’ve made ours! Last year we gave a fresh start to over 500 young Australians and their families, through the programs we fund and support. This year it is our resolution to help even more.

I consider myself extremely lucky to have a wonderful family that I shared my Christmas and New Year with. However, as always, over the holiday period my thoughts turn to those we try and help who are far less fortunate than me.

Many of them will have spent Christmas homeless, without families, without laughter and without hope.

Next week Triple Care Farm will re-open and begin its intake for the next year. These new students will be beginning one of the most difficult journeys of their lives. They arrive with nothing but the hope that they will be able to transform their lives.

It is these young people that inspire me everyday.

With your support we are able to give these young Australians a second chance at life, and so that maybe when next year rolls around – they truly will be able to celebrate a happy new year.
